Who can take part

  • You have had at least 2 kidney stones in the last 10 years
  • Your last stone was made mostly of calcium oxalate, calcium phosphate, or a mix of both
  • You are 18 years or older
  • If you take medications for stone prevention, you have been on the same dose for at least 60 days and can stay on it during the study
  • You do not have type 1 diabetes, severe kidney disease, heart failure, or a history of ketoacidosis
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the trial
