Who can take part

  • You have an animal injury that is deep enough to reach the fat layer, tendon, or is a puncture wound.
  • The wound is larger than 2 centimeters (about the width of a big thumb) and may need surgery.
  • You were injured less than 8 hours before coming to the hospital.
  • The wound is not already infected when you arrive.
  • The wound is not just a tiny puncture (like from an acupuncture needle) and your skin is not completely torn off.
