Your health information is yours.

To help you find and understand studies, Clin2 records what you search for, the studies you view, and the answers you give during an optional pre-screen. We also collect basic technical information (device, referrer, and similar) to keep the service working and to learn what patients need.

Before you create an account, this activity is tied to an anonymous identifier — not your name. If you sign up, we link that activity to your account so your saved searches and studies are there when you return.

We do not sell your personal information or your health data — not to pharmaceutical companies, contract research organizations, insurers, data brokers, or advertisers. No one can pay us for an introduction to you.

We should be just as clear about what we do sell, because “we don’t sell your data” is a sentence that can hide a lot. Study sponsors and research teams can pay for de-identified, aggregate information about demand: how many people search for a given condition, in which regions, and which eligibility rules most often turn people away. That is counts and patterns across many people. It carries no names, no contact details, no answers, and no individual records — and it isn’t built in a way that could return one.

Your identifiable information leaves Clin2 in one situation only, and it isn’t a sale: when you apply to a study and choose the site. Your contact details and the answers you chose to share then go to that study team, because that is what applying means. Searching, reading, and pre-screening send nothing to anyone.

Your condition and pre-screen answers can reveal sensitive things about your health. We keep this identifiable health data separate from our general, de-identified analytics, and we access-control it. This category is governed by consumer-health-data laws such as Washington’s My Health My Data Act, and we architect for consent, audit logging, and deletion accordingly.

We never share your identifiable health information with a study, sponsor, or site unless you give explicit, recorded consent for that specific purpose. Consent is versioned, and you can withdraw it at any time. Exploring trials and pre-screening on Clin2 does not enroll you in anything or hand your details to a third party.

You can export everything we hold about you, and you can delete your account and associated data, from your dashboard. When you delete, we remove your identifiable data and your behavioral profile.

Clin2 is a consumer service and is not, by itself, your healthcare provider. Some future relationships with sites and sponsors can bring health-privacy obligations into play; where they do, we handle the relevant data under the appropriate safeguards.
