  • You are between 18 and 70 years old
  • You need a peripheral IV line inserted
  • You are not taking blood-thinning medication
  • You do not have diabetes or peripheral neuropathy (nerve damage)
  • You have no infection or phlebitis in the arm where the IV will go
  • You can understand and volunteer for the study
