Plant-based drink study for people at risk of malnutrition

This study tests a plant-based, high-energy, high-protein drink for people who are at medium or high risk of malnutrition. You would replace your current prescribed supplement with either a plant-based or dairy-based drink for 8 weeks to see how it affects your nutrition.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are at medium or high risk of malnutrition (based on a standard screening score or because you already take oral nutrition supplements).
  • Your doctor says you need two servings of supplements each day for at least 8 weeks.
  • You are willing to switch from your current supplement to either a plant-based or dairy-based study drink.
  • You are not allergic to soy, cow's milk protein, or other product ingredients.
  • You do not have a condition that requires a protein-restricted diet or tube feeding.
  • You are not following a strict vegan diet.
