- You are 18 to 35 years old.
- Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18.5 and 25.
- You exercise at least 3 days a week for 60 minutes (like cycling, jogging, or sports).
- You are comfortable cycling for 60 minutes.
- You do not smoke or quit at least 6 months ago.
- You are not taking medications that affect fluid balance (like diuretics or weight loss drugs).
- You have no heart, kidney, or metabolic diseases, and are not allergic to medical tape.
- You must be willing to fast overnight, avoid alcohol and hard exercise before visits, and eat the same foods before each visit.
- For women: not pregnant, not on birth control (stopped over 6 months ago), have a regular cycle, and willing to track it on a smartphone app.
