Study of oral dimethyl fumarate for type 1 diabetes
This study tests an oral capsule called dimethyl fumarate to see if it can help preserve the body’s own insulin production in adults with type 1 diabetes. It may offer a way to slow the loss of beta cells and reduce reliance on insulin.

Study of dimethyl fumarate for preserving insulin in new-onset type 1 diabetes
This study tests the drug dimethyl fumarate (an oral medication already used for other conditions) to see if it can help people newly diagnosed with type 1 diabetes keep making their own insulin for longer. The goal is to slow down the immune attack on the pancreas.
