Study for high-risk neuroblastoma in children and teens

Neuroblastoma

Treatments studied

Part of Cancer clinical trials.

This Phase 3 trial tests treatments for children and teens with high-risk neuroblastoma, aiming to improve outcomes by using biology-based risk information. It also requires limited prior chemotherapy and specific timing after diagnosis.

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with neuroblastoma (a childhood cancer) confirmed by staging tests
  • You are under 21 years old
  • Your tumor is classified as high-risk, such as MYCN amplification or a specific high-risk stage pattern
  • You had no chemotherapy before, or only one cycle of etoposide plus carboplatin (VP16/Carbo)
  • Your tumor tissue sample is available for lab tests to check risk-related features
  • You can enroll within 6 weeks of diagnosis and agree to long-term follow-up for about 5 years

NCT03126916Recruiting· Phase 3
Testing added therapy for high-risk neuroblastoma in children

This Phase 3 study tests whether adding either a targeted drug (lorlatinib) or a radioactive treatment (131I-MIBG) to intensive chemotherapy improves outcomes for children with high-risk neuroblastoma. It may help by aiming at tumor cells more directly alongside standard treatment.

NCT02559778Recruiting· Phase 2
Precision treatment trial for children with advanced neuroblastoma

This Phase 2 trial studies a targeted treatment approach for children and young adults with advanced neuroblastoma (a childhood cancer). It may help by using lab-tested cancer features to guide therapy after initial treatment and transplant.

NCT01587300Recruiting
Study of high-risk neuroblastoma biology using tumor and blood samples

This study looks at how high-risk neuroblastoma grows and behaves by collecting samples from your child and checking disease markers. It may help researchers understand what biology is driving the cancer and guide future treatments.

NCT02605421Recruiting· Phase 2
High-risk neuroblastoma stem cell treatment after initial response

This Phase 2 study tests intensive treatment (high-dose “consolidation”) followed by rescue with your own stem cells for high-risk neuroblastoma. It may help patients keep the cancer from coming back after it has improved or stabilized from initial chemotherapy.

NCT06933394Recruiting· Phase 2
Arsenic trioxide with targeted drugs and chemo for high-risk neuroblastoma

This trial tests adding arsenic trioxide to standard chemotherapy and targeted drugs for children with stage 4 or M neuroblastoma. The goal is to see if this combination helps patients who have advanced disease.

NCT06172296Recruiting· Phase 3
Dinutuximab plus transplant for high-risk neuroblastoma

This trial tests adding a targeted drug called dinutuximab to standard chemotherapy, surgery, and a stem cell transplant for children and young adults with a new diagnosis of high-risk neuroblastoma. The goal is to see if this combination helps more patients stay in remission.
