Who can take part

  • You must be 30 years old or younger at the time of diagnosis.
  • The cancer must be newly diagnosed high-risk neuroblastoma or ganglioneuroblastoma (a tumor of nerve cells).
  • Your child's kidneys must work well enough, as shown by a blood test or urine test.
  • Your child's liver function must be normal (a blood test checks this).
  • Your child's heart must pump at least 50% of the blood out with each beat (checked by an echo or nuclear scan).
  • Your child must be able to handle a stem cell collection procedure (apheresis), which is like a blood donation.
