Compare two treatments for varicose vein leakage

Who can take part

  • You are an adult (age 18 or older).
  • You have leaking (reflux) in a specific vein—either GSV or SSV—measured as lasting more than 0.5 seconds on an ultrasound test.
  • You have varicose vein branches (tributaries) that need treatment.
  • You are not currently being treated for a blood clot in a vein (no active DVT).
  • You do not have signs of poor blood flow to the legs from artery disease (ABPI must be 0.8 or higher).
  • Your target vein is large enough (vein diameter must be 3 mm or more).
