Who can take part
- You are a child or adult who is getting (or recently got) a transplant for cancer or other serious diseases
- You have at least one cord blood unit matched to you for immune markers (HLA type I and II, usually very close matches)
- You are at least 30 days after transplant and your condition is stable enough for treatment
- You must not have serious ongoing liver, kidney, or severe nerve (central nervous system) problems
- You must not have moderate-to-severe ongoing graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) or uncontrolled infections
- You must not be pregnant or breastfeeding, and you must have enough certain blood counts
