Who can take part

  • You have a skin graft donor-site wound that fits within about 14 by 20 cm and needs a covering material.
  • You can give consent and have at least 24 hours to think it over before joining.
  • You must be 16 years or older.
  • You do not have medical problems that the study doctor feels would slow wound healing (for example uncontrolled diabetes, poor circulation, serious anemia, or certain chronic infections).
  • The donor-site area is not currently infected, and you’re not dealing with serious infection like cellulitis, bone infection, or bloodstream infection.
  • You do not have allergies to pig (porcine) materials or strong cultural/religious objections to pig products.
