Using scan and blood data to judge pancreatic cyst risk

Pancreatic CancerPancreatic Cyst

Treatments studied

Part of Cancer, Digestive system, Hormones & metabolism clinical trials.

This study looks at how medical images and lab samples can predict which pancreatic cysts or tumors are more likely to be dangerous. If you are being evaluated for a pancreatic problem and haven’t started pancreas treatment, your scans and samples may help researchers improve risk prediction.

Blood and fluid study for people having pancreatic cyst surgery

This study collects blood and cystic fluid samples from people who are already scheduled for surgery to remove a worrisome pancreatic cyst. The goal is to learn more about these cysts and possibly improve future diagnosis and treatment.

NCT05334836Recruiting
Scan for fat in the pancreas and link it to cyst features

This study uses scans to measure how common “fatty change” is in the pancreas. It then looks at whether fatty change is related to specific features of pancreatic cysts (and may also include healthy people).

NCT03334708Recruiting
Blood test study for pancreatic cancer

This study looks at blood tests to find markers that may help detect and monitor pancreatic cancer. It compares people with pancreatic cancer to those with benign pancreatic conditions and healthy volunteers.

NCT03260842Recruiting
Biobank study for people at high risk of pancreatic cancer

This study collects and stores samples (bio-specimens) from adults who have pancreas cysts and are at higher risk for pancreatic cancer. The goal is to help researchers improve early detection so future patients may be diagnosed sooner.

Stanford, California
NCT06195904Not yet recruiting
Genomic study of pancreatic cysts

This trial collects pancreatic cyst fluid or tissue to study the genes of these tumors. The goal is to better understand pancreatic cysts and improve future treatments.

NCT06305728Recruiting
New MRI scan and blood tests to find early signs of pancreatic cancer in people with IPMN

This study tests a special MRI scan and blood tests to see if they can detect early pancreatic cancer in people with high-risk pancreatic cysts called IPMNs. It may help identify cancer earlier, when treatment is more likely to work.
