Who can take part
- You are over 18 years old
- A blood test (blood culture) grew gram-negative bacteria
- Your infection likely started in the urinary tract (urine culture positive or urinary symptoms)
- You started a gram-negative–active antibiotic within 12 hours of the first positive blood culture
- At the start of the study, you are stable (blood pressure, heart rate, breathing, and oxygen are not too low)
- You can give informed consent (and you are not pregnant or breastfeeding)
