Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have had back pain for more than 2 months (not from a recent injury), or you have no back pain and want to help as a healthy volunteer.
  • You have not had surgery on your spine before.
  • You do not have a spine tumor or other active cancer.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and have no other reasons that would make an MRI unsafe (like metal implants or claustrophobia).
