Who can take part
- You have biopsy-proven kidney cancer (renal cell carcinoma)
- Your kidney tumor is not treatable with curative surgery, or you cannot/won’t have surgery
- There is no clear evidence of spread: no distant metastasis and no tumor clots/nearby lymph involvement that are considered advanced
- Your main tumor can be treated by brachytherapy based on imaging: 4 to 10 cm, mostly solid, and reachable through the skin
- You must be healthy enough for treatment: blood counts and liver function meet limits, and you have kidney function (eGFR) of at least 30
- You have not had prior cancer medicines (no prior systemic therapy) for kidney cancer
