Genetic testing comparison for long-lasting childhood diarrhea

Who can take part

  • Your child has had diarrhea for more than 2 months
  • A parent or legal guardian can give consent to join the study
  • You are a biological relative of a child already enrolled in the study
  • The diarrhea is not from a specific infection such as CMV or C. difficile
  • The diarrhea is not from certain bowel conditions (like necrotizing enterocolitis or short bowel syndrome) and is not “functional diarrhea
  • The diarrhea has not already been proven to be caused by a single-gene (monogenic) form, and you can reliably follow study plans
