Who can take part

  • You are pregnant with only one baby (a single pregnancy).
  • You are at least 20 weeks pregnant but before 37 weeks (or at/after 20 weeks, depending on the group).
  • Your pregnancy due-date was confirmed with a first-trimester ultrasound.
  • You can have consent and understand the study; you are able to do the required exams.
  • Your cervix exam can be done with a speculum (the clinician can see the cervix during the exam).
  • You do not have certain pregnancy complications (like leaking fluid before labor or an infection suspicion).
