Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older with a first-time (not previously removed) bone or soft-tissue tumor planned for surgical removal by an orthopaedic cancer specialist.
  • Your tumor was confirmed by biopsy, and it has a meaningful risk of coming back locally or elsewhere.
  • Your surgeon explains the operation and you already gave consent for the surgery before research consent.
  • You are not pregnant and not breastfeeding.
  • You have no known severe allergic reaction to contrast dye or fluorescein (a fluorescent dye).
  • Your kidneys are healthy enough for the study; you are not on dialysis and do not have kidney failure or uremia.
