  • You are an adult (18 years or older).
  • You are having planned surgery to remove a malignant glioma (a type of brain tumor).
  • You can understand and sign the consent form.
  • You are not pregnant.
  • This is not an emergency surgery. (It must be a planned operation.)
  • You do not have swallowing problems or a language barrier that prevents informed consent.
