Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are in a group needing regular liver ultrasound monitoring (for example, cirrhosis, or certain chronic hepatitis B risk levels).
  • Your most recent liver ultrasound found a new, single (new-onset) focal liver nodule.
  • The nodule size being studied is at least 1 cm (smaller nodules are usually rechecked later).
  • You can safely have contrast CT (no severe contrast allergy/anaphylaxis, and kidney function not severely reduced).
  • You have not previously had liver procedures that inject lipiodol (like transarterial chemoembolization).
