Testing genetic risk for acetaminophen-related liver injury

Who can take part

  • You (or your child) took acetaminophen or a medicine that contains acetaminophen
  • You can provide blood and/or urine tests for acetaminophen if the exact dose/timing is unclear
  • Your liver blood tests (ALT or AST) rose to at least 1000 IU/L after acetaminophen use
  • Your RUCAM score (a liver-injury likelihood scoring system) is above 6
  • You are age 14 or older, and you (or your guardian) can sign consent
