Electrical acupuncture to treat leaks after prostate surgery
Part of Kidney & urinary clinical trials.
This trial studies whether electrical acupuncture can reduce urine leakage (incontinence) after prostatectomy. It is meant for people a few weeks to months after surgery whose cancer markers and symptoms suggest they may be good candidates.

This study tests whether starting acupuncture early after prostate surgery helps improve urinary symptoms in men with enlarged prostates. It may provide a non-drug option to ease discomfort during recovery.
This study tests whether a gentle, non-invasive electrical stimulation on specific acupoints (like acupuncture points) can help you regain bladder control after cervical cancer surgery. If you've had a catheter for a few weeks and haven't been able to pee on your own, this might be an option to help retrain your bladder.
This study tests whether electroacupuncture (a type of acupuncture with mild electrical stimulation) can help reduce bladder control problems (urinary incontinence) after surgery to remove the prostate. It is for men with localized prostate cancer who are about to have prostate removal surgery.
This trial tests whether early acupuncture (starting one week after your surgery) can help you regain bladder control faster after prostate removal. It's for people who have had their prostate removed due to cancer and are still early in recovery.
This trial studies whether applying an external magnetic treatment (magnetic stimulation), doing pelvic floor muscle exercises, or doing both together can reduce urinary leakage after radical prostatectomy. The goal is to find which approach works best for men recovering bladder control after prostate cancer surgery.
This trial studies whether electroacupuncture can improve symptoms caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), which is non-cancer prostate enlargement. If you have frequent urination or weak urine flow for at least a few months, acupuncture treatment may help relieve those symptoms.
