AI test of fluid samples from pancreatic cysts

Pancreatic Solid Lesions

Part of Cancer, Digestive system clinical trials.

This trial uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help interpret fluid/scraping samples taken with a needle from pancreatic cysts. You might be eligible if an ultrasound/endoscopy exam found a pancreatic cyst called a PSL and it’s safe for you to have that needle procedure (FNA/FNB).

Who can take part

  • A recent EUS (ultrasound through the scope) found a pancreatic cyst called PSL
  • You can safely have a needle procedure to take a sample (FNA/FNB)
  • You (or your legal representative) can understand the study and give consent
  • You do not have bleeding problems that make needle sampling unsafe
  • The ultrasound view provides a safe “window” where the needle can be guided safely

AI to predict cancer risk in pancreatic cysts

This study uses artificial intelligence to look at medical images and test results from people who had surgery to remove a pancreatic cyst. It aims to better predict which cysts might become cancer, so future patients can get more accurate care.
