This trial studies a BCG-based bladder instillation in people with newly diagnosed, intermediate- or high-risk non-muscle invasive bladder cancer who have had their tumor fully removed. The goal is to see whether this treatment is safer and works better to lower the chance of the cancer coming back.

Who can take part

  • You are age 18 or older.
  • Your bladder cancer is non-muscle invasive (stage Ta or T1) and has been completely removed by surgery, with confirmed pathology within 45 days.
  • Your cancer is intermediate- or high-risk, and it was diagnosed within 45 days of joining the study.
  • If your cancer is T1: scans (CT or MRI) show no spread to distant areas, and you must have had a repeat bladder surgery (repeat TURBT) with results reviewed within the required time window.
  • You can do study activities and are able to take part (ECOG 0–2) and your blood/organ tests are high enough.
  • You have not previously had bladder BCG treatments or certain other bladder cancer types, and you are not currently getting other cancer therapies during the study.
