This pilot study tests a total-body PET scan with approved tracer medicines to help detect cancer spread in people with suspected metastatic prostate cancer or certain neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). You may be able to join if recent scans already suggest metastasis and you can safely complete the scan timing and positioning.

Who can take part

  • You are over 18 years old
  • Your most recent scan (CT/MRI/bone scan/fluciclovine or DOTATATE PET/CT) suggests cancer spread and was done within the required time window
  • If you have prostate cancer, you’re being checked for suspected metastatic disease
  • If you have a NET, your tumor must be somatostatin-receptor positive on a prior DOTATATE PET/CT
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You must be able to lie flat (on your back) for up to 90 minutes at scan timepoints and manage claustrophobia
