Who can take part
- You’re 18 or older, and you can sign consent before any screening tests.
- Your cancer is confirmed dMMR (mismatch repair defect on biopsy test) and is HER2 negative, or HER2 positive only if trastuzumab can’t be used.
- Your cancer is metastatic or inoperable, and you have at least one measurable tumor spot on scans.
- You have not had prior chemotherapy or radiotherapy for metastatic/inoperable stomach or esophagus cancer (some limited palliative radiation is allowed).
- You can provide a biopsy that can be re-tested for study purposes, and you’re able to do study visits (ECOG 0–2).
- Your blood and organ tests are good enough (for example, adequate white blood cells, platelets, kidney function, and liver enzymes).
