Who can take part

  • You are a woman age 18 or older
  • You are being referred for pelvic floor (pelvic muscle) physiotherapy at one of the listed clinics
  • You currently cannot reliably tighten your pelvic floor muscles (rated 0–1 on a muscle strength scale)
  • You have urinary incontinence (urine leaking) with a questionnaire score of 3 or higher
  • You are not pregnant and can safely avoid pregnancy during the study
  • You have no nerve-related cause of the pelvic floor problem
  • You do not have possible vaginal/urinary infection symptoms or major pelvic organ prolapse that blocks exams/treatment
