Ensifentrine nebulizer trial to reduce COPD airway inflammation markers

Who can take part

  • You’re age 40 to 80 and have COPD confirmed by breathing test results and doctor history.
  • You have a smoking history of at least 10 pack-years (pack-years = packs per day times years).
  • Your lung function test (FEV1/FVC) is below 0.70 even after using albuterol/salbutamol, and your FEV1 after albuterol is between 30% and 80% of predicted.
  • You’ve used a COPD “breathing controller” medicine regularly for at least 4 weeks, and you agree to keep using the trial’s once-daily maintenance therapy.
  • You can use a jet nebulizer correctly, do spirometry (breathing tests), and provide sputum (mucus/phlegm) samples during the study procedure.
