Who can take part
- You have liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma, or HCC).
- You are being evaluated for a liver transplant after a team discussion (multidisciplinary review).
- You are between 18 and 80 years old (inclusive).
- You do not have serious health problems that would make transplant unsafe due to reasons unrelated to the liver cancer (for example, uncontrolled infection, significant heart or lung disease, inability to follow the plan, active alcohol abuse, or certain mental health/psychiatric issues).
- Your liver cancer should not have spread outside the liver in ways that rule out transplant, such as distant metastases, lymph node involvement, or major blood-vessel invasion.
