Who can take part

  • You are an adult (age 18 or older).
  • You are planning an elective colonoscopy for screening, follow-up after polyps, or because of symptoms (like anemia, bowel changes, or abdominal pain).
  • You can sign a consent form to join the study.
  • You do not have reasons you cannot safely have a colonoscopy (such as an intestinal blockage, suspected perforation, or unstable heart/lung problems).
  • You are able to safely have any needed polyp removal (no active GI bleeding and blood thinners/anti-platelet medicines must be managed appropriately).
  • You are not currently pregnant or breastfeeding, and you do not have very severe other illnesses that make anesthesia unsafe.
