Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with colorectal adenocarcinoma (a common type of colon cancer)
  • You are between 18 and 80 years old and can take part in follow-up visits
  • You need curative (radical) colorectal surgery, and scans before surgery did not show spread to distant organs
  • You did not receive cancer treatment before surgery (like chemo, radiation, targeted drugs, or immunotherapy)
  • You don’t have major ongoing stomach or rectal bleeding issues before surgery (for example, severe hemorrhoids)
  • You agree to sign consent and follow the study’s follow-up plan
