Who can take part
- You (the child) are 1 to 15 years old and have Crohn’s disease
- The child has not taken infliximab or other biologic “anti-TNF” medicines before
- A doctor plans to start infliximab because standard treatments haven’t worked or the disease is severe (this is decided by the treating doctor)
- No active fistulas or perianal drainage at the time the first infliximab dose is given
- No serious infections (including tuberculosis) and no other major health problems that are not related to Crohn’s
- The child has not started certain medicines or diets very recently (steroids/mesalazine, exclusive enteral nutrition, within 2 weeks)
