- You need to be a candidate for kidney stone surgery based on 2019 Chinese urology guidelines
- Your kidney stone is smaller than 3.5 cm at its widest point
- You agree to have the surgery done in a “tubeless” way (no routine drainage tubes afterward)
- Your CT scan and blood tests must not show an infection-type stone
- You have no major surgery risks such as serious heart/lung problems or trouble with blood clotting
- You have not had prior PCNL/kidney stone surgery and you do not already have a ureter stent or a nephrostomy tube
