It may help doctors fine-tune treatment plans after your procedure, based on how your heart’s signals change over time.

Who can take part

  • You have heart disease caused by reduced blood flow (ischemic heart disease)
  • You have had a sustained ventricular tachycardia episode (a fast, ongoing abnormal rhythm)
  • You have a heart electrical device already (or it’s planned) that can record and store inside-heart electrical signals
  • Your heart rhythm problem is not due to non-ischemic cardiomyopathy (not a non–blood-flow-related weakening of the heart muscle)
  • Your treatment plan does not require access through the outer surface of the heart (epicardial access)
  • You do not have a serious, short-term organ illness likely to prevent repeat mapping around 3 months, and you are not expected to live less than 1 year
