- You are age 18 to 70 and are willing to take part as an adult
- Your symptoms meet “IBS-C” criteria (IBS with constipation) using Rome IV rules
- Your IBS quality-of-life score is below 65 on the IBS-QOL questionnaire
- You are not taking linaclotide now (any dose) and have no history of bad side effects from it
- You do not have other conditions that can look like IBS (for example celiac disease or inflammatory bowel disease)
