Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for surgery (elective or unplanned).
  • You are expected to stay in the hospital for at least one night after surgery.
  • Your expected 30-day risk of death is within a specific low-to-moderate range based on a risk score.
  • You are not having cardiac (heart) surgery.
  • You are not scheduled for ICU (intensive care) management after surgery.
