Who can take part
- You have chronic hepatitis B confirmed by a positive hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) for at least 6 months, or specific liver changes on biopsy within 1 year if HBsAg has been positive for less than 6 months
- You are age 18 to 80
- You can read, understand, and sign informed consent
- You fit one of the study groups based on your blood tests (HBV DNA, ALT), HBeAg status, family history, and/or scan results for liver scarring (TE)
- You must be able to take medicines reliably and follow study instructions (poor compliance is not allowed)
