Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with resectable left-sided pancreatic cancer and are planning surgery
- Your tumor measures 4 cm or smaller (on imaging)
- Your tumor is at least 1 cm away from the celiac trunk and has not spread into certain tissue behind the pancreas
- You have not had chemotherapy or radiation before surgery (neoadjuvant therapy)
- There is no spread to the liver or other distant organs, and the cancer is not coming back or in multiple spots
- You can follow the trial plan and agree in writing; you are not in another cancer trial
