Using Nevisense to help diagnose skin cancer

Keratinocyte Skin Cancer

This study tests a device called Nevisense that helps doctors check if a suspicious skin spot is a type of skin cancer called keratinocyte cancer (including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and related conditions like actinic keratosis).   • You are 18 years or older
  • You have a skin spot that your doctor is unsure about and suspects could be keratinocyte skin cancer
  • The spot is not on your palms, soles, scalp, beard, mustache, genitals, or inside your ears or under nails
  • The spot is not on a scar, crust, psoriasis patch, or sunburn
  • The spot has not been biopsied, treated with surgery, or injured before
  • The spot is not on a tattoo, splinter, or other foreign object
