A study on treatment results for hepatorenal syndrome

Hepatorenal Syndrome

Part of Digestive system, Kidney & urinary, Women’s health & pregnancy clinical trials.

This study looks back at medical records of people who had hepatorenal syndrome (a type of kidney failure linked to liver disease) while in the hospital. The goal is to understand what treatments were used and how well patients did, which might help guide future care.

TIPS procedure for kidney failure in people with cirrhosis

This trial studies whether a liver procedure called TIPS can help people with cirrhosis who develop sudden kidney failure (HRS-AKI). It aims to improve kidney function and overall outcomes, but participation depends on several safety checks.

NCT02434445Recruiting
Blood and urine tests to predict kidney failure in cirrhosis

This study checks new blood and urine tests to predict who with advanced liver scarring (cirrhosis) will develop hepatorenal syndrome, a serious kidney problem. The results may help doctors spot risk earlier, especially for people being referred for a liver transplant.

NCT07300709Not yet recruiting
Kidney study for liver transplant patients with HRS

This study looks at how the kidneys are affected during a liver transplant in people with hepatorenal syndrome. It uses a small kidney sample (biopsy) taken during the transplant to understand changes.

NCT07139626Recruiting
Biomarker study for heart and kidney health

This study looks for blood markers that may predict heart and kidney problems in people with stable chronic heart failure. If you have heart failure and are willing to give blood samples, you may help researchers better understand and manage this condition.

Studying severe acute kidney injury in hospital kidney units

This research study is collecting information about people with moderate to severe acute kidney injury (sudden kidney damage) who are treated in specialized kidney hospital units. The goal is to better understand how patients recover and what happens to their kidney function 3 months after admission.
