Who can take part

  • You are Chinese and between 18 and 85 years old.
  • A routine ultrasound showed fat in your liver (diffuse or patchy).
  • You have MAFLD, meaning you have liver fat plus overweight (BMI 23 or higher), type 2 diabetes, or at least two metabolic risk factors (like high waist size, high blood pressure, or abnormal cholesterol).
  • You are planning to get a liver biopsy or special MRI (MRI-PDFF) within the next week to measure liver fat.
  • Your blood test shows low bleeding risk (platelets over 50 and INR under 1.5).
  • You agree to join and sign a consent form.
