Who can take part

  • You are 5 years old or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT) OR you are a healthy volunteer (without CMT).
  • If you are a healthy adult, you can give consent by signing a form (if you are unable to sign due to a physical limitation, ask the study team).
  • If you are a child with CMT and need a skin sample, a parent or guardian must give permission.
  • If you are a child (with or without CMT) and are only giving blood or saliva, a parent or guardian must give permission.
  • You are not a ward of the state, and you do not have a history of keloid scars, a bleeding disorder, or an allergy to numbing medicine (if giving a skin sample).
