Validating a new tool to detect cervical precancer

This trial is testing a new screening tool (ELEVATE) to see how well it works in detecting cervical precancer. If you have an abnormal pap smear or a positive HPV test and are scheduled for a colposcopy, you may be able to help validate this tool.

Who can take part

  • You have an abnormal pap smear or a recent diagnosis of cervical dysplasia (within 4 months)
  • Or you have a positive HPV test (within 4 months) and have a colposcopy appointment
  • You are able to understand the study materials and consent form
  • You do not have heavy bleeding during the colposcopy exam
  • You are not pregnant at the time of the appointment
  • You have not had chemotherapy, LEEP, cryotherapy, or other cervical treatment in the past 6 months
