- You are a woman with ER-positive breast cancer confirmed by a biopsy.
- Your cancer is either locally advanced (large tumor or spread to lymph nodes) or has come back or spread to other parts of the body.
- You are scheduled for a standard FDG PET scan as part of your cancer staging.
- You are 18 years or older and not pregnant.
- You do not have any metal implants, severe claustrophobia, or other conditions that prevent an MRI.
- You do not have a chronic inflammatory disease like rheumatoid arthritis or severe liver or kidney problems.
