Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are scheduled for a colposcopy (a test to look closely at your cervix).
  • Your doctor considers you at 'average risk' for cervical cancer.
  • You have never had cervical cancer or any other cancer (except certain minor skin cancers removed more than a year ago).
  • You are not taking certain strong medications (like chemotherapy or drugs for rheumatoid arthritis) and haven't had a major injury, surgery, or blood transfusion in the last month.
