Who can take part

  • You have a full-thickness rectal prolapse (the entire rectal wall comes out from the anus).
  • Your surgeon believes you need a procedure called ventral mesh rectopexy (a surgery that uses mesh to hold the rectum in place).
  • You are willing and able to come to follow-up appointments and fill out questionnaires.
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are not pregnant.
  • You can understand Swedish and do not have a condition that prevents you from giving informed consent.
