  • You are scheduled for an upper endoscopy (EGD) as an outpatient for conditions like indigestion, stomach ulcers, acid reflux, or checking a stomach bump.
  • You are not having active bleeding in your digestive tract.
  • You are not scheduled for a specific type of endoscopic procedure (ESD) that takes longer.
  • You are not coming from the emergency room or a hospital ward.
