- You are 18 years or older and speak English.
- You have stage 2 or 3 rectal cancer (cancer has not spread to distant parts of the body).
- You are currently getting, or have completed, chemotherapy or radiation before surgery.
- You are physically able to do exercise (no serious health issues that prevent it).
- You do not already exercise for more than 60 minutes a week (this study is for people who are not very active).
