Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older.
- You have acute pancreatitis (sudden inflammation of the pancreas) diagnosed by belly pain, high levels of amylase (a pancreas enzyme) in blood, or imaging showing pancreatitis.
- You have developed a serious breathing, heart, or kidney problem that started within the last 72 hours and lasted at least 12 hours despite fluid treatment.
- You (or your legal representative) can agree to participate in the study.
- You do not have severe failure of more than one organ, active bleeding, advanced liver disease, or a blood cancer that is not in remission.
